Aluminum (e.g., 6061, 7075)

Steel (e.g., stainless, carbon)

Titanium

Messing

Koper
Kenmerken: Hoge thermische geleidbaarheid, ductiel, gevoelig voor gereedschapvastlopen tijdens bewerking. Vereist scherpe gereedschappen en goede smering. Spanen kunnen lang zijn, dus spanenverwijdering is belangrijk.

ABS
Kenmerken: Goede taaiheid, gemakkelijk te bewerken, maar gevoelig voor verzachting door warmte. Vereist gecontroleerde snijsnelheid en koeling om smelten of burrs te voorkomen.

POM (Polyoxymethyleen)
Kenmerken: Matige hardheid, slijtvast, zelfschuivend, stabiel tijdens bewerking, goede oppervlakteafwerking. Wees voorzichtig met thermische vervorming.

PEEK
